Software Consultant - Engineering Prostitute

It’s been while till today I couldn't really frame this very title. Prostitute by definition is "A person who willingly uses his or her talent or ability in a base and unworthy way, usually for money”. Our job is not about delivering solution but makes clients happy. We have wide variety of clients it starts from business user, business analyst, project manager, Development manager and sometimes even other consultants. Each and every clients has its own very needs likes and dislikes. We often used the word politics to describe this pleasing but if you attend one of these meetings you will soon realize this is one way pleasure ride.

Business Solution: As consultant team arrives to deliver the business solution. First thing consultant expect are problem, requirements and business expectations. The requirements are highlighted and goals are identified and works towards goals starts. As project matures, flavors of personal favors, personal expectation, even personal needs start clouding the delivery. And yes those are planned for too but there is always delta of those can be address in timeline given while trying to address those some components are missed. And journey started to deliver a best business solution and often ends up with least sustainable one. Now as we understand business needs are the very reason for software solution or project but If not well discussed, scoped, planned and handled they often become the very hurdle in delivering the best solution sometimes even solution itself.

Story of setting over expectations isn't far from truth, it’s often considered good practice to add more then what is needed in a thought process that consultants and sometimes the only friend BA will trim them down. Let me give an example of swing delivery. Consultants would be often shown park to delivered in times that can delivery just one swing, so while in race with time consultant will deliver few components of swing and few of park as time doesn't really allow delivery of whole park but they will fail to deliver the basic swing set which was actually the need of delivery.

We spend time on delivering items which are mostly to please but have no real business value as they are deemed important by a person who is our point of contact. We even use fancy terminologies like of “A wholesome experience” as swing by itself will not give you complete feeling so let’s build fencing around it, let’s have pond too since we have pond we should add some ducks. With more visionary people in team we can even add merry go round, Now all this doesn't just come from business user, sometimes our very own PM or BA’s. It is very important to build framework solution that allows to extend our swing set solution to Whole Park but wrong if you spend time in building actual things other than just swing set.

As to voice these concerns is a job of consultant. But as prostitute adjust herself to do whatever client’s needs so do consultants. In the end all consultants are working for money not for good solution of problem. If consultant says they will only build what all are written in requirements those consultants are not very well treated either clients gets another prostitute or just force the very prostitute which disagrees. In the end we are all sell out of market so as most prostitutes you will sell it too.

Task-list my vision my nation

1.       Cultivation of Solar Energy.

Subsidies the price of Solar Cells further but recover cost by using extra energy produced by homes. Extra Energy produced by home to be stored in their account as Current Account as if they have 100 KW generated extra during day period and use 50 KW at night when there is no power. 50 KW could be saved for future use. And for people who are using loans from electricity department to setup solar cells will pay the most amounts using unused power i.e. 50KW…  This could lead to partial independence from Government for providing electricity.  This will be especially beneficial in equatorial places like southern India.  

2.       Serialized Growth Across Nation

Development of new cities in Madhya Pradesh after every 100 KM on National highway. But limit the city size so as to control monopolization of growth by just one city in the area. This could help us avoid growth like of Chennai or Hyderabad as they are perfect example though one city has grown very well but rest of the state didn’t get a chance to grow. With city limits the upcoming growth will have to move to next city in 100 KM or 150 KM range. This could lead to serialized growth of the place

3.       Rivers from Sea

Cut out Rivers from One Sea to Another Sea like Across from Bay of Bengal to Arabian Sea. Complete Man Made Rivers to help us feed water to barren lands or Andhra, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh.  So not just we are losing water to rivers we are gaining back few. The power needed to run such machines to be cultivated from River or Sea water using solar cells or water current kinetic energy itself

4.       Conserve then buy

Force on Implementation of maintenance budgets so we can maintain previous equipment's rather than government organization replacing them after every 5 years.

5.       No free food.

Reduce subsidy provided on food in place provide jobs by implementation infrastructure related project which will provide job opportunities across nation and special to local population as they are not high skill jobs. And for jobs provide money that will become source income and even food with less subsidy will become affordable and free food or food with 1rs is not a long term solution and we can build India for ever.

6.       FDI

Only allow 20% demand to be imported from outside India but make it depend on tier of the organization. If sales are to certain amount or only deal with little number they can keep satisfying with higher percentage but if they need to grow their sales and to put a cap of 10 to 20, India is In the End world 2^nd largest market.  Anyone who plans to sell and tap Indian Industry needs to develop here.

7.       Foreign Friends

Tag African regions for food grain, Build Strong bonds with African nation for our upcoming food requirements as those areas are still untapped along with build better relation with Northern eastern region. Move some of the industries there special owned by Indian manufacturers to build bonds. As India is one of the most hated nation by its neighbors also will develop better standing in Asia. Power is moving back to Asia after 500 hundred year. Plan and grow for another 100 years to have power.

8.       Indian outside often prefer to invest back in India give them options to be part of Indian growth, set up bonds for people to invest in city planning, part of infrastructural growth story of India. Make Cities bit more independent and ask them to be self reliant and disciplined in in financial terms and decision making.
